Pick how you
want to be.

Every session belongs to one of four states. You pick how you want to be, and Waves opens on something made for it.

The Focus state in the Waves brain visualization

Focus

For the hours that need everything you have.

The Meditate state in the Waves brain visualization

Meditate

For sitting still without a voice telling you how.

The Relax state in the Waves brain visualization

Relax

For the hour when the day finally lets go.

The Sleep state in the Waves brain visualization

Sleep

For the way down, and for staying there.

One screen, one decision.

  • The player centres one choice: focus, meditation, relaxation, or sleep.
  • The same four states are always in the same place, so the choice takes a second.

Every session is one continuous piece.

  • A session is written, produced, and mastered end to end, so it holds one shape from its first minute to its last.
  • It stays instrumental the whole way through, which keeps it in the background where you put it.

The Waves player in the Sleep state

Thirteen years
of this sound.

Healing Waves began in 2013, after Sefy Tofan survived Typhoon Yolanda and spent the months that followed unable to rest. He built sound to find sleep again, and put it out quietly.

Millions of plays later, that work has become a catalogue with an audience attached to it. Waves carries that sound into a focused listening application for ordinary days.

Questions, answered honestly.

Is Waves free?

The first group of listeners joins free. Any future paid access will show its price and terms clearly before payment.

What exactly is a session?

A single continuous instrumental piece with a deliberate arc: a settling-in, a steady middle, and a gentle return. It is written, produced, and mastered as one whole before you ever hear it.

How is a session made?

Each session is written, produced, and mastered as one continuous piece. Its arc, dynamics, and sound remain connected from the first minute to the last.

Do I need headphones?

Headphones can reveal more detail. Every session is also reviewed on speakers and in mono for dependable everyday listening.

Is this meditation? Is it therapy?

Waves is functional sound for everyday wellbeing. Medical and mental-health care belong with qualified professionals.

How is Waves different from a focus playlist?

A playlist is a stack of songs. A session is one piece, shaped from its first minute to its last, so nothing jolts you out of the state you came for.

When is the mobile app coming?

Waves is being developed for browser listening first. Native apps remain a future possibility.
